I don't really drive any differently in my F150 than I do other vehicles. My dad did teach me long ago, however, that you don't always have to be pushing on either the gas or the brake! I have generally always been right around fuel economy ratings on everything I've owned. The exception being our 2002 Durango, which I could never get close (that thing got like 9 mpg in town!).
It just seems most people I know don't get the mpg that they were expecting, whether it is a small car or a big truck.
