I wouldn't purchase the new 2.7 EB until after the first model year and I wouldn't go near a 3.0 VM motori until this type of******gets cleaned up.

Interesting that the guy in the video seems to have butchered up his truck quite a bit. AEM air filter, chopping up breather hoses etc. I wonder why he didn't let warranty take care of it? Maybe he modified it and got his power train warranty voided?? Seems like an awful lot of work to go through on your own if you have warranty. Maybe they will have common problems, who knows. I haven't been keeping up any the 3.0L EcoDiesel to know.
The only reason I came across this was because my wife nearly purchased a Grand Cherokee and I was interested in the diesel option which she really didn't care if it was gas or diesel.
The way I interpreted this guy's video and I could be wrong is this issue would not be covered by warranty so he took matters in his own hands.
It appears that the truck in the video only had 21,xxx miles on it. He doesn't say if he added any aftermarket programming or not, but he does say he has been threatened with the dealer voiding his warranty.
A video that pops up after that one also has a 3.0L EcoDiesel with blow by issues, but the guy in that video admits he "chipped" his engine. His only has 10,xxx miles.
If you're under warranty and want to keep it, stay stock. IMO, the newest crop of diesels isn't as friendly to mods as the older ones were.
