They need an ecoboost for the F250...I'd be interested in one...

The 2.7 looks like it will be a winner in regards to power.My only complaint on the test is they use that black GMC as a chase vehicle to run interference for them, allowing the truck to change lanes freely as traffic conditions change. I would like to see how the truck accelerates when you get stuck behind an RV/semi, and have to drop down to 30 or 40 MPH. I am sure the truck would do well under those conditions, but it would be a more realistic test if that is what you are looking for.

I continue to be really impressed how this truck performs.

I have the same questions. Ford has tuned the 3.5 to over 600 HP. If there is a market/need for more power, why would they need to add cylinders?

Still think the bigger question is why they won't put it in a 250/350. Even at current output, it has adequate power levels.

That 2.7 in an aluminum body F150 seems to be about as ideal as one could want in a half ton truck. I for one respect Ford's guts to step out of the tired boxes and engineer some totally new concepts.

The larger and longer Transit has dual rear wheels and 3.5L 365 HP Ecoboost!

I agree it can not tow a fifth wheel, but still it will work great as a travel trailer tow vehicle. Towing weight is limited with the Transit van to about 5,000 pounds.

Yes I would like to see a 5L V8 Ecoboost, or even any of the larger V8's going to direct fuel injection, turbo or not!

I am not a Ford guy, but thats impressive. High strung small V6, time will tell just how reliable they can be. For now it looks like Ford has a winner.

Maybe that would really change the need for a diesel engine for many rv'rs. It would for me "maybe"

Shows flatbed with weights and about 3 or more of them lined up
