For in town use the EV's seem ok, but when taken on the road they lose their attractiveness.
Saw this WSJ article recently which summarized peoples experiences.

The video follows several peoples experiences. In China it was loved, Japan basically OK, Canada was tolerable, and the US was basically a fail, mainly due to charging access and time. Americans are just to used to jumping in and going. And the EV's don't allow for that level of freedom.
Hybrids?????? Yeah there are possibilities.
