Don't think I have changed any position. AFAIK, the only mechanism to force Communism to live up to ideals is violent revolution.
But if we look at history of this country, late 19th/early 20th century, capitalism concentrating wealth and ownership of production concentrated in few hands just like what we see under corrupted communism. Also if we look at the middle of 20th century, the strength of unions expanded a middle class, spread wealth to a large number of people. Then US governments started supporting people whos money works for them over people that worked for money.
I have always thought Capitalism is better than Communism because capitalism can be constrained by unions, if government allows
