F150 or F250

Read your post went to dealership to pull the info you requested. They are closed and our truck is inside. I will get those and post tomorrow. As for my dealer or service department I don't think they know yet what's wrong. They first asked if I checked the transmission fluid? Well, I can't check it because the dip stick is not accessible like the oil one is. So we couldn't check it. No light came on to indicate we had any problem. We just figured smoke, bad odor, and the fact it wouldn't go smoothly into a parking space after TT was unhooked was a sign. We had what we thought was transmission fluid ALL over TT and truck. Service department said they checked transmission, something about no fluid, a clutch, and basically we needed new transmission. Within 3 hours they called back, said they had our truck confused with another customer's truck, we didn't need a new transmission just fluid and an exterior coolant. I told them I was on my way there. I let them explain it to me again, reminded them with the tow package it has a cooler already. I was told that maybe I needed more???? Service manager out til Monday. I plan on waiting to talk to him. I beginning to think they don't know because they haven't really looked at the transmission. Who knows!!
