Our truck was carried home on a roll back and the TT was towed behing the roll back.
Went to dealership today to get the above information and was told they forgot to call us but we can take truck home. Nothing is wrong with it, just needed fluid and they want to install the extra coolant for 225.00 next week. I told them I'm keeping the rental car til I speak with service manager on Monday. Can putting the fluid in save the truck. I feel like they do not want to honor the warranty and we are 4,000 miles away from that ending?? Frustrated :(
That's just your standard F150 with tow package.. You are way out of your league with that trailer and that truck IMO.. I wouldn't tow it with my MAX TOW F150 because I want it to last for more than a couple of years... ;) Sure, you can get it down the road, but for the long haul... Unless you want to replace the trans every year, I'd either get a bigger truck or get a smaller trailer..
As far as the dealer saying they just filled up the trans fluid and it's fine... That maybe the case now, but try towing that rig again, and it probably won't be so lucky next time???
