Glad to see you sorted things out. Your story occurs way to often in the towable RV world. It's not just with 1/2 tons but across all chassis sizes.
Due to a lack of understanding of the towing parameters and bad advice many campers attempting to purchase the correct truck end up with a TV that is underrated.
