I'm very happy for you and know the feeling of jumping completely away from the only brand one has ever owned. We were long time GM and we jumped to the Ram (2103 2500 diesel Longhorn). It was the best thing we ever did!
My Dad was also a longtime GM guy and even worked for GM dealership for many years. He walked away from them and went to Ford as did my brother. I went to Ram instead. My Dad did say about 15 years ago that once the Germans got their hands on Chrysler and injected higher quality it would be a good thing. Later when the Italians got their hands on them he warned that the quality would remain, but there would be style and class too. Looking back on it I think he was right...
I don't know, but in my part of the country lots of Fords and Rams, but not so much the GM twins. That wasn't the case 15 years ago.
I also agree with the posters: that truck will hum along with your trailer like it wasn't even there!
