Understand where I come from based on what is on my 'have to have' list vs
'nice to have' list...that is the basis for my advice
Performance (go, stop, manhandling, maneuvering, ratings, etc) is at the top of
my 'have to have'. Stopping performance over go performance.
"Nice to have" are MPG, ride quality, etc with ride quality at the
bottom.
I size all of my things, or try to size them for the day Mr Murphy crosses my
path. As either I have the properly sized, adjusted, etc spot on or not
No time to go back to the store for bigger/better or re-adjust
I also know that Mr Murphy plays everyone...not just the other guy...
This risk decision (AKA Gambling) is all on the driver. None of the advisors
here has any skin in the game
Commuted 70-100 miles round trip daily here in Silicone Valley for
years and years with my 3/4 ton Suburban. 10MPG to 12.5MPG.
I decided that trailers is an expensive proposition and either I can
afford it or not. Part of the equation is the fuel bill
