@BenK I appreciate that but the only way to do that is after I purchase both and put them on the scales. So I am trying to make an educated decision based on the data I have which is TV specifications and TT specifications. In terms of what will be in the truck and TT that is just conjecture at this point since I have no idea.
Understand...then use their 'ratinged' max weights...GVWR, GAWR and GCWR
Plug in those GVWR's and that is the max they can be and then a guesstimate
where they will actually weigh
GCWR => TV GVWR + TT GVWR
If you pack everything and the kitchen sink...then their GVWR's will be
closest
If you pack light, then the GVWR's will be too heavy
Bottom line is that it is a guessing game until you actually weigh them both
'Guessing game' as in risk management decision...AKA Gambling that you
have guessed 'right'...
They all 'can' do it...as they have shown that a half ton 'can' tow
the Shuttle...but for how long and how will (ability to manhandle it
during an emergency)...that is up to the driver to decide....and....
most times...the driver does NOT understand all of this
