2015 F150 max GVWR is 7850#. The 2014 had the 8200# GVWR, but they dropped that for 2015 models.
And up to 3300 available payload where the OP mentioned just 2,000.

Yes, some stripper 2wd reg cabs can get up in payload.
The stripper crew cab 4x4s can be a max 2000#. However, the real world normally equipped crew cabs are 1700# or so according to most members here.
