Looking at this unit for a pop-up truck camper. What can I expect in town and on the hwy with out camper. The camper will weigh 2200# ready to go. Not sure how much mileage will drop? Usually stay at 65-70 on freeway.

Mine gets around 14 on the highway. I get around 7-8 pulling my landscape trailer around town. I also get the same when I was using it to pull our Work & Play.My guess is you'll see around 10 if its aerodynamic and you can keep it around 65mph. Close to 70 mph and it takes a toll on mpg.

My overall unloaded average is 12 mpg, 14- 15 highway, 7 - 9 towing an 8000 lb Rv. I suspect with a low profile camper you would be at 10 mpg like lawnspecialties said.

The rule around here is there is no such thing as too much truck, but in this case, that might not hold true if fuel mileage is a concern.

I have a 2015 6.2 3.73,4x4 Scab short bedI get 10-11 around town and 11-12.5 on hiway @ 68mphI have 3200lb payload and the pop up is 1750 lbs wetThis is with camper on truck all the time.Get an upgraded suspension.in Ariz the camper pac with 6.2 could not be found,but the sno plow pac was on a lot of work trucks,you know the ugly white XL
