For towing, the diesel is always better, plus as someone said, the diesel gives you headroom to tow a heavier RV should you ever desire to, and trust the folks on this forum, many many of us have found ourselves moving to a heavier bigger RV even tho we did not expect to.
And the diesel resale will be much much higher down the road than a gasser 3 years older. You'd be money ahead long term to buy the diesel.
