Is the 6.2L Gas engine enough for a 34TBOK-6 or should I go with diesel? Will the F250 be able to handle the pin weight of the 34TBOK-6 which is approx 2000 pounds? Torn what to do I would like a F350 with the 6.7 but the prices are pretty high, found a decent priced Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax but have not seen pictures yet. Found a nice F250 with the 6.2L Gas but am not sure it is enough truck. I love my F150 Ecoboost but since I bought this trailer I know I need to upgrade to something bigger.

There are not a lot of 250/2500 trucks that can handle that weight and all the people, stuff, dogs, bicycles, firewood, kayaks, tools, bbq, etc, that the truck will also be carrying.

Sounds like you need to go 3500 series with diesel with that much wieght..

I would not pull that big of trailer across the country, or full timing, with a gasser. I have the 6.2, but a smaller FW. I would check the payload on the door,and also look for the gearing. If the payload is right, and the gears 4.30, it will work for weekends, and vacations.Jerry

I'm pulling a 16K trailer with a 6.2 F350 but I ordered it with 4.30 gears. If you want to pull with a gas truck it has to be set up for pulling with a gas motor not with gears that work in a diesel. On flat ground with little wind I can even pull in 6th gear, 2K rpm 65 mph in 6th.Denny

Pin weight will be much higher than 2K making a 350/3500 the wiser choice.

Sounds like you need to go 3500 series with diesel with that much wieght..
