F350 windshield question

I have a large crack in my windshield and need to get it replaced. My question is regarding the Super Duty logo on the visor section of the windshield. Is this a sticker or part of OEM glass? I assume I can ask the insurance company to replace it with like glass including the logo?

I seem to remember a while back that you could get them from the union that builds them

Same situation here. Windshields don't last long. That's why I opted for zero deductible.

  • I had to have mine replaced earlier this spring. 2012 F250 with the Super Duty Logo. Estimates were all over the ball park. Started by asking the guy that owned our RV park because that was the business he was in. You could just about knock me over with a feather when he quoted me $575.
Next up was a major chain: Safelite Auto glass, they wanted $425 so I committed to them. A friend heard that I was getting my windshield replaced and he strongly suggested that I call a friend of his who installed windshields. With nothing to lose I did and was flabbergasted when he told me that he could install it for $295, since I have $500 deductible guess which one of the 3 got the job?
  • Luckily I have a 0 deductible glass policy that will cover it. They confirmed that they will replace it with OEM glass. Cool.
