I only occasionally drive my F450 with nothing loaded in the bed, and yes it’s a harsher ride than loaded. I don’t mind it, and neither does the boss. You can’t have the kind of weight hauling ability the F450 does and a Cadillac ride when it’s unloaded. With the camper loaded, it’s pretty nice.
As far as the tighter turning radius, I appreciate it every time I drive it. No kidding. That, and the better brakes, 19.5” tires, and the heavier axles are why I bought it. Ignore the GVWR, it artificially capped at 14K to keep it a class 3 truck so it won’t compete with the cab and chassis F450.
