I have a 42 gallon tank just like the one you purchased. It works great. The purpose of the 4 wheels is to allow you to pull it. I could never lift 42 gallons of water but I can certainly pull it.
You will never have to pull it that far. You need to get it from the side of the RV to the front of the hitch area where you can attach it to the truck.
Sure you could get a smaller tote and make multiple trips vs. one and done.
How far away is the dump station?
I am a fairly stout person and maneuver the tote by myself however my wife and kids could handle the tote together if they had to.
Lastly dumping the tanks is not my favorite chore. Why go through the process multiple times when you can do it once?
Did I mention at busy CG's there can be a line at the dump station.
Do you also plan to wait in line at the dump station multiple times?
Keep it. YOUr DH was correct get a tote to equal the size of your tanks.
