- Stars101Explorertwo years ago we took our TC up to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville and saw the entries for the National Gingerbread Competition. It was fabulous - even if you are thinking "Meh, doesn't sound like anything I want to see", it will amaze you and draw your interest.

We have tent camped along the parkway many times years past and more recently been visiting the same camp grounds with our OFF-ROAD POPUP setup.. The southern end of the parkway in the NC areas are great...

Make sure you eat at Piscah Inn. CG is across road from Inn.If you want to staying at inn is nice also.
Peaks Of Otter is the best for food and a place to stay.CG is also near.
