The rain sensor is a Pain! I hate mine, as on a moist day, or when cooking spagettii, it will shut the vent thinking it is wet inside the Maxx air cover. And it can start moving up and down.
I would request a fantastic fan WITHOUT the sensor.
I have two others, one with a thermostat, and one in the bedroom without a thermostat. The bathroom one, we will leave open for the dogs, and set it to come on at a specific temp, otherwise save the battery power.
The bedroom one, either we are in there and want it on, or want it off, so no need for a $40 optional thermostat. Went with the lower cost one there.
WIth all 3 on at the same time, and just 2 windows open, we get a strong breeze through the window, and it feels really cool there!
