I have the basic MaxAire cover over my FF. It limits how high I can raise the lid. And I can see how it would limit ventilation when the FF is turned off.
But I don't think I'm losing any capability with the FF powered up. Our configuration is what was recommended by our RV tech who installed both (he didn't think the extra $$ for the FF cover was worth it).
