As said above, you need the larger vent cover otherwise it will prevent the lid from opening all the way. We bought two of the smaller Maxxair vent covers early this year off the internet ahead of getting our latest TT which came with two Maxxair fans. Our dealer noticed it right away and and swapped them for the larger ones.
If you have a Maxxair fan in the bedroom, I suggest getting a black cover to aid in room darkening.
