I question if Dodge and Chrysler will be around much longer with their current line up of vehicles.
Hence the reason why I wish Ram/FCA would focus more one making their current offerings more reliable and efficient instead of trying to win "best in class" titles. It would be a better use for their money instead of keep having to pay millions in fines every year.
The fines Dodge has to pay is because the Challenger and the Charger are about the only vehicles I see on the road, but they don't have a choice at this point if they want to sell cars.
I think the real shame is that the truck line was stripped from the Dodge brand and we all new the Dart was not going to keep this brand afloat. What is surprising the Durango just doesn't sell for some reason.
Ford is discontinuing all sedans except the Mustang and Focus hatch. I assume you will still be able to buy a Lincoln sedan.
Domestic trucks are also protected by a 25% tariff where sedans are not, thereby increasing profit margins on trucks even more.
Chicken Tax
I think the lincoln is being considered for electrification. I may have it confused with another large sedan but it seems they mentioned it last year.
