The EcoDiesel will be back in RAM and Jeep vehicles for 2017. Looks like they have a fix for prior year vehicles as well. Announcement

Engine falures.......transmissions shifting from 8th to 2nd going down the highway !!
should I be scared of them or is it just the old ( you only hear the bad news ) thing.
I am keeping my truck, this would be a DD for the DW.
I have not encountered any issues with the ones I have driven. I have not heard about those types of issues with the 8 speed but that would not have anything to do with the diesel anyways.
