  • FCA and GM does not make much sense to me. Neither does Ford. Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, or Nissan would make more sense.

That 3.4% return has to do with not being in house in regards to Cummins and Aisin. Of course your not going to make money off another company making something for you. Although a name can be a selling point (Allison for example) it will not pad your bottom line.
Just me but I think the railroads are the big winner. Ship Cummins engines to Mexico and back haul PSD to the states. :B
In the end there is several ways to cook the books with any company or country for that matter. Hello Greece!

If that is the case they need to seriously evaluate their ala carte approach to manufacturing. If this story is true there is something structurally wrong with their business model. Too big to be a kit car company but too small to be competitive with the big guys :)

  • Ugh, another merger? Seriously? I actually hope nobody bites. Market is perfectly fine as is.
  • The only thing built by FCA is the Ram trucks. The rest is JUNK.

  • Can one be woo'ed as a potential buyer if one says they aren't interested?

Is that kind of like walking around Sam's club letting your kids eat all of the free samples pretending to be interested but not having any intent of buying any of the products? :)
