I personally, really do feel sorry for the buyers of their vehicles as their resale values will drop like a rock just as they have so many times in the past and most owners can't afford the losses at all.
Really? Well I was just curious as to what the resale value of my truck is compared to a Chevy. I built the exact same truck as mine sets now in a Chevy version on Kelly blue book. Same miles same area everything to the tee.
Ram $31762
Chevy $28915
Oh I couldn't add the Jacobs exhaust brake to either truck. Just to top it off, I bet the Ram was cheaper on original sale to boot.
You compared the Dodge crew cab to the Chevy extended cab.
Dodge didnt have a crew cab in 2006. Only the QC which is a extended cab.
They still had separately opening rear doors correct, but a smaller cab? That is not the fault of GM and Ford. For comparison purposes they should still be all crew cabs regardless of what Dodge called it. - GBuildersExplorerHow could GM have the money to buy anyone? It wasn't long ago when GM was bailed out by the U.S. I'm sure they are in better shape now after the buyout but seams they are still a financially weak company but I'm not sure if there are any really strong auto companies left that have lots of cash and little debt?

Stay tuned, my boy! Orphaned brands, models, vehicles, products, get whacked big time as it's a given backed by a hundred plus years of recorded and documented data!

Not sure about the cabs with a Chevy but this one is much different to the worst. Maybe you can direct me to the appropriate model compared to a Ram QC.
Clicky
I think you need to select the Chevy Crew Cab not extended cab. The research I have done at least with KBB is the big 3 are very close in value apples to apples. But what I see on lots or for sale can be very different.
The only other issue I see is you are using excellent condition. What are the odds of actually finding an excellent condition Dodge. :B Just kidding.
Yeah your right, I did pull down this different model and they are apples to apples. Still disprove's Nuts claim to lower value though.

I can see VW making an offer for FCA. Although they are small in North America, they are large globally. There is some bad blood between VW and Fiat, so egos may stop this from forming. One of the scuffs was back in 2010 or 2011 when VW was partnered with Suzuki - Suzuki sourced Fiat diesels instead of VW.
I doubt they would Fiat has a poor reputation as a car maker outside NA VW would not touch them too much debt
I don't think that anyone has a high regard for Fiat. When they bought Chrysler, many thought that improved Fiat's quality.
