Maybe GM should just have one brand of truck, it would certainly help YTD figures :W (for the 1st year anyway) I have never understood why they have the Chevy when the GMC is much better looking, IMO. I know if I were to buy one the GMC would be hands down my choice from a pure visual perspective. Seems like they compete against them selves to some degree :H
Ol dear where is those Pontiac's and Oldsmobile's lately :E
Bring back the Pontiac Aztec :E Hey at least Buick is still around.....
you left out Plymouth.
Plymouth was not a GM product! :E - FordloverExplorer

Yep. Division sales were up 19% for February, 10% for CYTD. - NC_HaulerExplorer

Hey NC, I don't know if that was sarcasm or if you really thought I was trying to pee on your Cheerios, but I was simply repeating what the news said.
HEY, I had a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 D/A...but that was only one of I don't know how many Chevy trucks dating back to 75:)
YUCK!!!:)....Glad I don't eat Cheerios.....Guess it was the way the post was presented, but hey, that might have been the only way Chrysler could have sold what they sold, vehicles with huge discounts and incentives...worked for me with the 13' I purchased....I couldn't believe what I paid for this truck...considering how it performs, new frame, higher TQ,HP, GVWR and GCWR and a beautiful truck, inside and out. The more I think about it, you're probably right, because when comparing apples to apples, Ford was much higher and even Chevy couldn't compete with the price. ( did my checking in Dec/early January, then again first week in May)...I know it worked out for me, one of the best deals I've gotten on a truck in about 14 years..( as far as huge discounts, incentives and employee pricing):)
....at 63, never heard the term "pee on your Cheerios".....different, though a bit on the gross side.....I heard "I hate to rain on your parade. but..."...no where near as nasty sounding, but it is 2014:) - 2003silveradoExplorer IIHey NC, I don't know if that was sarcasm or if you really thought I was trying to pee on your Cheerios, but I was simply repeating what the news said.
- NC_HaulerExplorerI liked the Chevy better...same truck, use to come off the same assembly line, cept' GM had different badging and a few other little "do-dads", but comparing apples to apples, the GM alway's cost a little more...at least in the three states I've lived in and owned Chevy versus GM, the GM was more expensive...BUT, as sales shows it's the Chevy that out sells the GMC..:)
It ain't baseball, hotdogs, applepies and GMC...it's baseball, hotdogs, apple pies and Chevrolet:) - 45RicochetExplorerMaybe GM should just have one brand of truck, it would certainly help YTD figures :W (for the 1st year anyway) I have never understood why they have the Chevy when the GMC is much better looking, IMO. .....Personally, I buy the truck that meets my needs and budget. I couldn't really care less if my truck is "popular" or not. I bought what I wanted because it was what I wanted. Thankfully I don't have any other "physical limitations" and feel the need to justify myself in other ways.
Same here. I find it entertaining to read these threads where many of the posters are emotionally attached to their truck. I'm not brand loyal. I have owned all three major brands and all have served me well. Some better than others though. My last two trucks were a 2001 Chevy 2500HD and my current 06 RAM Dually. Both were/are great trucks. - fla-gypsyExplorerNo surprises. This trend has been in place for a while. Ford continues to beat the GM twins and Ram is cutting into the market share. The last time the twins beat Ford in yearly sales was 2009. Ram still has a way to go to catch Chevy but have really come on strong.
- MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerSpoon you said some pretty good things!! You hit it on the head. I feel like I aways need to defend the truck I like and choose to drive while others bash what has 4 wheels and will do the same thing their truck will do. U put it very well !! I am guilty myself.
