Some people are insecure and need to justify themselves. If their truck is the number one, or has the most growth, or isn't the last place or didn't slip the most, etc etc it makes them feel better about themselves.

Personally, I buy the truck that meets my needs and budget. I couldn't really care less if my truck is "popular" or not. I bought what I wanted because it was what I wanted. Thankfully I don't have any other "physical limitations" and feel the need to justify myself in other ways.
