We're old pros at differentiating between our wants and our needs. Our budget is NEVER in line with our wants, but we do OK with aligning it to our needs. As the search continues, a number of items have moved from the A column to the C column: my sofa, my husband's standard dinette, two slides, a real bedroom... TV we don't care about, but good reading light is a must. We are now down to two non-negotiables: it has to have a slide, and decent kitchen workspace (not the dinette table on the other side of the room.) Everything else is gravy. So the size need has shrunk, and we hope, the weight. I'm scared to death of winding up with something that will rip the chassis out of our newly bought Sequoia.
Oh yeah - there's the little matter of budget. I definitely have champagne tastes.
Everyone here has given us much to think about. We appreciate beyond measure your generous sharing of your experience and expertise - we really don't know what we're doing, but with your help, will probably not make TOO bad a mistake.
