Can't recall from earlier threads re your search what size is your limit. Is that the size of the box only or bumper to ball??? Take that tape measure and measure the trailer before you ever set foot in it. You're bound to see something wonderful that you "can't live without" in a trailer that's above your limits. If it's above your limits - stay OUT!
Agree that not all salesmen are liars, etc.....however, many have not the first clue what they're talking about but don't want it to appear that way. "Let the buyer beware" didn't come out of nowhere. It's up to you to take the lead in this and do not let the salesman be the final word on anything.
Re sizes - our ROO 23SS HTT had a box that was actually a little over 20', while the bumper to ball was close to 24'. Going from there, our Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604 has a box that surprisingly is 26'4" and approx. 30' bumper to ball. Go figure. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme nor reason to the numbers. Therefore, the tape measure.
Re the letters - SS meant Super Slide. RQB probably means rear queen bed. WS most likely means wardrobe slide. I'm guessing on the OK meaning outside kitchen also, but who knows?
So have a great day looking. Don't forget the tape measure. Definitely try the bathroom on for size. Try to spend some time alone in the ones you prefer - as in get rid of the salesman if you can - and really go through the motions of living in it. Like buying a house, figure where you would put various things like the trash can, laundry, etc. And triple check your weights - regardless of what the salesman says. Enjoy!
