Years ago, at least some of the Fords spec'd the use of loctite on the bolts that held the calipers on. You may want to check to see if that is the case on your truck.
In fact, I believe they may have spec'd 271, which is strong enough that it requires using heat from a torch to remove the fastener later.
Lesson learned.... I'll bet next time you will get down under there and crawl around with a flashlight giving a good under the truck inspection at the first sign of trouble. Glad you made it okay to the track.
