It's not unrealistic. I met a guy just the other day who told me his late model Ram 2500 Cummins was getting 41 MPG highway, and it drops all the way down to 33 MPG when he pulls his gooseneck with about 11,000 lbs. loaded. :W
My dad's son's brother took off the 2500 logo and picked up 5 MPG as the truck thought is was a 1/2 ton. I know this has to be true because I also know this individual.
