Fifth Wheel Hitch Rails
Hi gang, I'm looking at a used truck that had a fifth wheel hitch installed. They took the hitch off but left the rails. As I don't plan on using it for hauling a fifth wheel, What will be the harm...

They will annoy you constantly if you ever haul anything in the truck. Stuff will slide around, mulch and gravel will get stuck in the rails, etc.
I would pull the rails but leave all the mounting brackets under the bed in place. Easy to put them back in if you ever move up to a big boy trailer. :)
