In Ontario Provincial Parks the trailer dumping station and the potable filling station are typically in the same general area. You can not park your trailer at the dump station and reach the potable water hose, but typically you just have to drive another 50 feet or so from the dumping station to reach it. 99% of the time there is NO threaded fitting on this hose, just a floppy open hose end. There is sometimes a second valve at the bottom of the pipe stand with a standard hose thread fitting on it.
The dumping station has the identical pipe stand but clearly states it is for cleaning the dump hoses / tanks only... not the fresh water tank.
