Finally got my diesel

In preparation for a future fifth wheel, my wife and I bought our first diesel. We will continue using our lite trailer (8500 GVW) until that time. With electronic sway control I can leave off my sway bar but my question for those with a 2500 truck, can I leave off my weight distributing bars? I realize that once I set up my hitch I can see how much I dip. Tongue weight is around 650.
