After waiting 9 months to get my recalled water pump replaced, I finally got lucky today while I was getting my oil changed at the dealership. While I was at the dealership, their parts department received a couple of the replacement water pumps.
The updated 6.7 water pump has been on restriction and, according to my dealership, have been shipped in small quantities to the dealership. I was told that we couldn't "reserve" one so I just happened to get lucky today and finally get it replaced.
494,000 2013-2017 diesel Ram pickups were involved in this recall but one would think that a water pump that is a fire hazard could be replaced even more quickly than having to wait for 9 months.
Otherwise, I love my 2015 Ram 2500 CTD. Best truck I've ever owned!

I too stumbled upon a dealership ,it was out of town a bit, but going that way anyway. I was in ,and out in just less then an hour. So far so good.
