And this is one of my problems with ST tires... They are made to serve a low price point. There is really no such thing as good, better, and best levels of quality in ST tires like there is in LTs... And the OP thinks that 102.00 is a lot of money for tires... Heck my ATV tires cost more than that... The Michelins on my TT are 253.00 each...
So are you just bragging or complaining? :h
Why does it have to be one or the other? :R I think he is just stating a fact.

Yep. Just stating a fact.. There are simply not any high end ST tires made.
In LT tires one has many choices across many price points. Often the same manufacturer will have different price points along with the differing quality levels in the same brand. Not so with STs.
So if one wants to buy a really premium tire, STs are not going to be the answer.
Only problem is,,,,,,,LT tires are not designed for trailer use, ST tires have a harder compound and are designed for the DRAG as trailer tires do, LT tires are not to be dragged they are steered and follow, ST tires get drug, when you have two axles one set usually the back set get drug around turns. My SIL works for a large tire chain, they will not mount LT tires on a trailer, unless it specifies there use. If a tire comes in from a trailer that is an LT on an ST application they will not warranty it because of the abuse ST tires see. But hey, if it works for you,, go for it. Maxxis 14 inch tires are expensive in my view, When most other brands are $65-$80 a tire, $102 would be the high end ST? Can't run ATV tires or LT's. Maybe if I had half of your money I could throw away all mine!!
