I'm not talking about the width, as long as it's wide enough to clear the fenders there's nothing to adjust there.
The thing you need to adjust for to use it on different trucks is how far forward or aft the pipes that cross under the truck are.
They need to clear exhaust, hitches, gas tanks, whatever might be in the way.
The ideal would be to find a happy spot that will work on both trucks. If there isn't one, adjusting isn't too big a deal. It'd just be even nicer not to have to do it at all.
