Great and welcome to the Truck Camping world of making memories and visiting and seeing some amazing places.
Your plan is a great one and yes, take it slow and ask lots of questions here. There are more people better at lists and sharing what they need and don't need for Weekend and Vacation use of their Truck Camper.
One of the best pieces of advice I received when I first started out (btggraphix) was to take short trips (I didn't have the luxury of a Driveway) and in your case, Driveway. Keep a piece of paper on the inside cabinet door of your TC for the first year of use and record anything you might feel you need or have forgotten. Don't rely on your memory upon your return. While in your driveway, try to stay in it overnight during the different seasons you might be using your TC. From this POV you will discover what needs to be done without ever leaving home. Plus you will be able to test out and experiment with all the functions of your camper, Furnace, water pumps and systems, shower, Fridge, Windows, Electrical systems/Convertor, Storage, Sinks, Black/Grey/Potable Tanks and the list goes on, before ever leaving your driveway!
Have fun.
