Mine gets about 10 mpg towing the travel trailer at 60 mph. Best, about 11.5 with tailwind, worst, about 8.5 with a stiff headwind. Empty it will get 21-22 mpg at 55 mph highway in gentle terrain. Interstate at 73 mph, about 18.5. Any extra stop and go, or extra speed will take it down from there.
I have burned mostly at least 89 octane when towing due to recommendations, but last time out I ran 87 and couldn't tell any difference in performance. MPG might have been a little worse since I only averaged about 9.5 mpg, but there may have been other variables involved.
