Show me a well trained Policeman/woman, that would willingly be involved in a high speed pursuit driving an F-150 and I'll point out someone that has a death wish.
F-150...unloaded, NOT just a little overstear.
Who said the F150 was marketed as a pursuit vehicle?
It's NOT, but put a policeman/woman behind the wheel and it quickly becomes one.
And based on everything I have read the Taurus police interceptor is a very capable pursuit vehicle.
Ask the police, say in Red Lodge MT, about that. There's a reason the stock car races are now referred to as NASCAR races...run with "stock" FWD cars retrofitted to RWD....
I think it is a little dramatic to suggest it is tantamount to Russian Roulette to use this vehicle in a police fleet.
You wanna see dramatic ask anyone having driven a front torque biased "AWD" in pursuit and survived.
