Firestone Transforce tires
Anyone had any experience with these tires? Looking at the reviews it is about 50-50 excellent/worthless. It doesn't make sense. My Michelin OEM tires are cracking all over the sidewall after ...

I've had Transforce A/Ts on my Dodge 2500 for 6 years.
I've put about 35K miles on them and they still had tread left.
But I've started to get a lot of cracking near the bead, so I figured it was time to replace them. They seemed to be a good tire and gave us good service, although they are a bit noisy (which isn't unusual for an all-terrain tire).
I replaced them with Michelin Defenders this spring. The Michelins certainly give a smoother ride. We'll see how they do over the long run, as I'm hoping they actually have fixed the Michelin sidewall cracking problem.
