I guess I gave up to easy. After my GM dealer told me that Michelin would not do anything for tires that old I call the Michelin customer service and they were very responsive. Asked me to take it to a dealer near my house and they would work together to see what they could do.
Long story short, they were willing to warranty $126 on each tire. This was for tires four years old. I think this was more than fair with very little hassle.
Need to hear it from the horses mouth before you give up on an issue like this.
Happy Camper!
That's great to hear.
I just had the same kind of results from Goodyear. My Marathons that came on my 2015 5th wheel were junk. I had three tires separate in 2 years. I pulled them all and had 4 new tires that are much heavier (a different story). I messaged goodyear on FB just to let them know about the problems I had and they contacted me back the next day. Long story short they automatically assigned me a case number. I just got a call from them 1 hour ago saying they were going to send me a rebate in the mail for $320. They never laid eyes on the tires. They just called the store I had them removed from to confirm their DOT # and tread depth.
When I first talked with them and told them my first tire that went last year blew out their first question was "did the RV receive any damage?". I'm assuming they were going to pay for damage but I was fortunate that I didn't have any damage. It's good to know that these companies are starting to take car of their customers again.:)
