That is GM'S decision to have two different trucks. If that's the case then you could say the same thing about all of their auto's also. I said GM and Chevy trucks are the same and the GM boys slammed me. Now you guys want them counted as the same. Go figure, bet you want your cake and eat it too. :W

Well, as a long term GM guy, I agree with that, sorta, and wasn't actually combining, just commenting how the trucks related. In fact, if you look at GMC and Chevy now, there is quite a difference in "look" and some minimal difference in price. But, it looks like GMC is attempting to separate the two, and pushing GMC as a higher quality truck - particularly interiors -- and especially in the SUV models, not as much in the trucks yet.
But, same frame, same power trains, same wheels, brakes, etc. GMC seems to head into a 'luxury' mode, while Chevy remains the 'working man's truck', at least in the campaigns.
We went looking for a GMC in Feb/March ... a 2015 DC 2500HD, could not find one (not in production yet at the time), so found a Chevy and plunked down the bucks. Personally, I see very little difference, because I buy my trucks to work, not look pretty. SO, same power train etc, doesn't make much difference.
