First impressions and first trip report with new camper.

So how much of a change was it going from a slide-out unit to one without? Does it feel too closed in?

Cathy and I have 2 dogs (75# and 40#) and really like the additional floor space that the slide-out provides.

But the rugged qualities of the Northern Lite appeal to me- plus the possibility of losing 1000#-1500# of camper weight.
