First real camping trip this weekend

My family and I are very excited. We will be making our first trip in our new TT 2013 shasta revere 26tb. I did a shake down run in the driveway. I ran all the systems in the fear that soemthing was overlooked when the TT was built. During the shakedown I found a few small things like fittings that were loose for kitchen faucet causing a drip. I found the washer for the shower line hook up was not even installed causing yet another leak the washer was sitting right there on the tub I assumed it was an extra I was wrong. Getting used to a slide we did not have one before in the old TT. I have checked the tires and greased the axels for my own piece of mind. I also went over all the lugnuts on the wheels as well as the spare. It is a good thing I did or the spare may have ended up on teh highway somewhere or worse. We will be leaving Friday afternoon and I will probably go over everthing three more times knowing how I am. Very excited to get camping and start our season. Happy camping to all!!!! have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend!!
  • Enjoy the new rig.

Build yourself a checklist to use as your getting used to the new rig. Seems like the excitement of a new campers sometimes causes people to get out of sequence and do things they have never done before in years of camping. Nice job on the driveway camping and checking everything out prior to leaving for the first trip. Should make it a great camping experience instead of a great fixing experience.

    Enjoy!

Hopefully you did not pay the dealer for a PDI, since you did it for yourself in your driveway!
  • Smart move to test while on the driveway - it's unfortunate that these days some mfg do such a poor job of inspecting their own products - no pride in their work.

    Happy camping.
