The author of that article clearly has an agenda to make diesel for Average Joe Driver look as bad as he possibly could.
If that truck were running a DPF instead of DEF, he would have gone through a LOT more than 11.7 gallons in diesel fuel for regens, and paying nearly $10 a gallon for it is just asinine on his part.
No mention that the oil changes are LESS FREQUENT in a diesel either.
...and the mileage is "far below" what Dodge claims? It's a NEW TRUCK! The engine takes thousands of miles to break in. Get 15-20K on it and then come back and tell us what it's getting, but he probably won't because it wouldn't further his little crusade here.
I wish they'd give me one of those to drive around so I could write a blog about it. If you take your head out of your ass, you could maintain it properly for about 1/2 what he's claiming.
