I view KOA sort of like I view Motel 6, well maybe a step up from that, but not a big one. One can generally expect a certain level of service and amenities with KOA, though some are nicer than others, they are generally nicer than some of the small roadside RV parks that amount to a gravel parking lot with RV hookups. KOA's generally have a camp store with basic supplies where you can buy basic grocery items, trinkets, or a replacement sewer hose if needed. Some will have other amenities like a snack bar, swimming pool, game room, etc. Though all seem to fall in a certain mid-level accommodation range, and there are few if any really nice ones.
