I don't know the campgrounds in your area but I suggest trying to find a slow weekend in a park with big wide open sites.
Then try to arrive Wed-Thur when things are slow.
Go thru and have a plan for backing into the site and setting up. (Even better go find a large empty parking lot and practice before the trip).
If you show up on a busy holiday weekend and it doesn't go well getting into the site, you will all be stressed and with an audience (along with people waiting for you to clear the road), it's easy for it to turn ugly.
