We did Falling Waters State park (North of Panama City) last year over the week of Christmas.
I'd winterized the trailer late October. We left the Saturday before Christmas and drove about 1/2 way and stayed in a motel the first night. Second night we stayed in a KOA in Alabama where we de-winterized and had full hook-ups that night. Monday afternoon we rolled into the park.
We left Saturday after Christmas. Before leaving I winterized again and then we drove back to the same motel. Made it home Sunday night.
This year we are going to St. Joseph State Park (South of Panama City) and pretty much repeating the same route.
You will want to de-winterize ONLY after you are comfortably out of the snow belt. Then winterize again before re-entering the Snow Belt.
There's nothing wrong with winterizing and de-winterizing several times over the winter. It take just a few minutes, and enables you to enjoy your camper any time.
While this was going on the week of Christmas in Florida 2013.....
